A 30 year-old Cree/Métis of the Red River Métis, Nicole resides in Victoria, British Columbia with her husband and two pets. Enrolled in the Juris Doctor Program Faculty of Law at the University of Victoria, Nicole will complete the program in 2013. At the University of Victoria, Nicole was elected the Chair of the Indigenous Law Student’s Association.
In addition to school, Nicole works for the Aboriginal Child and Youth Mental Health Team providing mental health support to community members of all ages. She has also worked as a Youth Program Coordinator for Métis Nation of Greater Victoria providing leadership programs pertaining to cultural knowledge, self-esteem and health.
Nicole endeavors to make her community, her family and her Nation proud and states, “Whatever you may choose to do in life, practice with a good mind and a good heart and you will succeed.”
