David Dupuis – 2012

Born and raised in Kuujjuaq, Quebec , David started playing hockey when he was three years old. In 2003, David’s parents relocated the family to Pointe Claire, Quebec where David continued to pursue his education and play organized hockey. At the age of 21, David is already recognized as a role model in Nunavik.
David is enrolled in the Management and Business Degree program at Skidmore College, in Saratoga Springs, NY. He is balancing the life of a college student-athlete where he is studying management and business and playing hockey at the NCAA level. David speaks Inuktitut, French and English enjoys hunting, fishing and hiking. David always maintained a smoke-free, alcohol-free, drug-free and substance-free lifestyle. Through his performances and accomplishments he wishes for all Aboriginal youth to also believe that setting goals and objectives are the best way to realize your dreams.
David message to his peers is, “Live without regrets and accomplish your goals.”
