Selection Process

The nominations will be pre-screened by the NARMP’s Advisory Committee members, where they will help narrow the number of nominations for the selection committee.

The selection committee will consist of the 2010-11 role models. They will select the final twelve role models for 2011-12. The selection committee brings their personal experiences, knowledge, and understanding of the NARMP and the skills required to assume such a role. The selection committee is very familiar with the needs of the NARMP, which ensures that the best candidates are selected, and also allows for the selection process to be led by youth.

Please be advised that the National Aboriginal Health Organization, which hosts the National Aboriginal Role Model Program, is postponing the announcement of the 2011-2012 Role Models until the Fall of 2011.  We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your continued interest and support of NARMP and our Role Models.
