Selection Process

The nominations will be pre-screened by the NARMP’s Advisory Committee members, where they will help narrow the number of nominations for the selection committee.

The selection committee will consist of the 2009-10 role models. They will select the final twelve role models for 2010-11. The selection committee brings their personal experiences, knowledge, and understanding of the NARMP and the skills required to assume such a role. The selection committee is very familiar with the needs of the NARMP, which ensures that the best candidates are selected, and also allows for the selection process to be led by youth.

The 2010-11 role models will be announced on National Aboriginal Day (June 21).
