Discussion Papers

There is a need to identify topics of seminal importance to Métis health research.  These topics will be further explored though a Métis health foundational discussion paper series.

Discussion papers in progress include:

• Research Ethics in Métis Contexts
• Defining “Métis-specific” Across the Métis Nation
• Cultural Competency in Métis Contexts
• Métis Rights and Health

New topics may be identified or existing ones amended using the proceedings of our think tank held in December, 2007, Métis Health: Culture, Identity, History, and the Métis Centre Strategic Plan 2009 to 2012.  Our plans for disseminating the papers include the development of a Métis Health book.
