Fact Sheet Writing Contest

The Métis Centre of the National Aboriginal Health Organization is holding a fact sheet writing contest using statistics in the Métis Centre statistical database (www.metiscentreresearch.ca) with the intention of building statistical capacity and furthering knowledge in the area of Métis health and well-being research. The fact sheet should be on Métis health and well-being or determinants of health.
The Métis Centre statistical database contains about 6000 sets of 2×2 statistical tables and graphs on health, Aboriginal languages, socio-economic determinants, traditional activities, consumption of traditional foods, access to and quality of health care, social support and social interaction, and food and nutrition. These tables can be accessed using the search interface here >> .
Five eligible submissions will be chosen to win $1000 each.
