Switch to computers paying off for First Nation’s child services
Gloria Sacobie has kept St. Mary’s First Nation’s child and family services files in cabinets in her office for more than two decades. It’s a system that has demanded that social workers have both a quick and accurate recollection of past cases and be able to track down and fit together all the pertinent information involving a new client. The three social workers on the First Nation have made it work.
