Healthy Living

First Nations, Metis and Inuit Aboriginal Sport Stories

The National Aboriginal Health Organization would like to hear how you promote sports in your community. Each community has a unique environment. We honor that uniqueness. We would like to profile your community sports and recreation activities on our website.

The following critieria is requested:

We are inviting you to submit stories of no more than 250 words. The stories should give a clear and concise sport story of your community. Indicate how your community promotes sports and recreation. How you encourage your youth to get involved. What types of unique sport event/s occur in your community.

  1. If possible provide pictures of your event with the stories and indicate its relevance to the sport.
  1. Stories submitted are to your name, institutional, organizational and tribal affiliation (if applicable), contact information and a brief biography of your community. All submissions must be submitted in a text only – non-formatted document.

Submit abstracts via email by June  30, 2008 to: Lorena Solomon via email at lsolomon@naho.ca.
