Artist: Julia Perron
This logo is symbolic of Aboriginal life and what keeps Aboriginal people healthy. The circle and the four colours represent the four directions. It symbolizes the unity of all peoples but also acts as a metaphor for the circle of life.
A woman and man face opposite of each other in recognition of the differences between men and women and our ability to celebrate these distinctions. They are working together. She is dancing and raising her hands to give thanks for the beautiful gifts placed on earth, and he is playing a drum for her to dance. The fish and the plant represent our land and water, the two things that have sustained and healed Aboriginal Peoples since the beginning of time.
