National Conference Banquet The 2009 NAHO Our People, Our Health banquet on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 in the International Ballroom at the Crowne Plaza Hotel promises to be an entertaining evening filled with traditional First Nations, Inuit and Métis performances, and plenty of star-power. Beginning at 6:00 p.m. Chef David Wolfman, star of the APTN TV show Cooking with the Wolfman, will heat things up by giving audience members an up-close-and-personal demonstration of what it’s like to be in the kitchen with the Wolfman. He will provide a 45 minute cooking demonstration followed by a brief question and answer period with the audience. The Banquet dinner will follow, and will be a re-creation of the meal Chef Wolfman prepared. Assorted hot and cold canapés Mixed zuni style bean and legumes, marinated with a chipotle and lime vinaigrette Rabbit stew served with ginger risotto Chocolate glazed pumpkin torte with vanilla crème Anglaise Coffee or tea During dinner guests will be treated to Traditional First Nations, Inuit and Métis performances by current and former NAHO National Aboriginal Role Models. There will be jingle-dress dancing, Métis fiddling and Inuit Throat-singing. Come out enjoy a fun-filled evening, and celebrate with friends and colleagues at the 2009 NAHO national conference banquet.
